The Human Resource Management, Learning & Development Professionals Society of Kenya, (HRMLDPS-K) will, through the efforts of committed volunteer members, inspire, engage, and develop HR , Learning & Development professionals to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving business environment.

Specific Object

  • To bring together all Human Resources Management, Learning & Development Professionals in Kenya including those who are still pursuing their careers in various institutions of higher learning
  • To work in partnership with relevant stakeholders to support the Institute of Institute of Human Resources Management ( IHRM) which was formed through the Act of Parliament under Regulation No 52 of 2012 to ensure compliance in order to effectively execute its Core Mandate as a Regulator of the Human Resources Profession in Kenya
  • To censure the elections of the Chairperson of IHRM and recruitment of its Executive Director to ensure they have background and practice at senior leadership level in Human Resources with experience of continuous practice of not less than 10 years in a reputable organization. The incumbents shall also be members of Human Resources Management, Learning & Development Professionals Society of Kenya
  • To afford effective platforms and ,opportunities to all HR, Learning & Development professionals to network and harness their capabilities
  • To build members capacity through Continuous Professional Development fora on regular basis.
  • To maintain proper records of the funds and property of the Society and to safeguard all such funds and property as may from time to time be committed to its care.
  • To issue Membership Certificates to members on annual basis
  • To invest and deal with monies of the Society in such manner as may from time to time be determined by the Executive Committee.
  • To promote the voice of Human Resources, Learning & Development in the community through civic education and other diversity programs
  • To aid in the advancement of professional development for all members by providing informative monthly meetings, quarterly, annual and semi-annual workshops or seminars and training for completion of professional certification.
  • To provide policy and legislative advocacy by monitoring local, state and national actions to ensure that the needs and concerns of human resource professionals are represented in the policy-making process.
  • To furnish superior member support services and access to information relating to the human resource management issues.
  • To arrange social and sporting, fundraising, scholarships, bursaries, mentorship and any other activity for the good and welfare of the upcoming HR, Learning & Development Professionals with the approval of the Executive Committee where necessary.
