HRMLDPSK:- Member Welfare Management

The Human Resources Management, Learning and Development Professionals Society of Kenya (HRMLDPSK) recognizes the paramount importance of ensuring the welfare and well-being of its members. Member welfare management encompasses various strategies and initiatives aimed at enhancing the professional, personal, and socio-economic welfare of the society’s members.

Objectives

  • To advocate for policies that enhance the recognition and professionalization of the human resources management (HRM), learning, and development (L&D) fields in Kenya.
  • To influence government and regulatory bodies to develop and implement inclusive policies that address the evolving needs and challenges faced by HRM and L&D professionals in the Kenyan workforce.
  • To collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and address key policy issues affecting HRM and L&D practices in Kenya.
  • To promote ethical standards and best practices in HRM and L&D through policy recommendations and advocacy initiatives.
  • To provide expert guidance and input to policymakers on matters related to labor laws, workplace regulations, and employee rights to ensure fair and equitable treatment of workers.

Implementation & Strategies

  • Establish a dedicated member welfare committee tasked with developing and implementing initiatives to enhance member welfare.
  • Conduct regular needs assessments and surveys to identify members' welfare priorities and preferences.
  • Collaborate with industry partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to maximize resources and support for member welfare initiatives.
  • Utilize various communication channels, including newsletters, social media, and the society's website, to disseminate information and updates related to member welfare programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of member welfare initiatives through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments to optimize impact.

Our Approach & Scope

  1. Professional Development: HRMLDPSK aims to facilitate continuous professional development for its members through various training programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences. These initiatives will focus on enhancing members’ knowledge, skills, and competencies in the fields of human resources management, learning, and development.
  2. Networking and Collaboration: The society will create opportunities for members to network, collaborate, and share best practices with peers, industry experts, and stakeholders. Networking events, online forums, and mentorship programs will be organized to foster meaningful connections and knowledge exchange among members.
  3. Support and Guidance: HRMLDPSK is committed to providing members with support, guidance, and mentorship throughout their professional journey. This includes career counseling, resume building, interview preparation, and guidance on navigating challenges in the workplace.
  4. Health and Wellness: The society recognizes the importance of promoting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of its members. Initiatives such as health awareness campaigns, stress management workshops, and access to counseling services will be implemented to support members’ overall health and wellness.
  5. Advocacy and Representation: HRMLDPSK will advocate for the rights and interests of its members within the industry and broader society. The society will engage with relevant stakeholders, policymakers, and regulatory bodies to address issues affecting members and advocate for positive change.
  6. Socio-Economic Empowerment: The society will explore opportunities to empower members economically through initiatives such as entrepreneurship support, job placement services, and access to financial literacy resources. Empowering members economically will contribute to their overall well-being and professional success.
  7. Benevolent: A Social Welfare Fund created to support HRMLD members and their families with financial assistance in times of death, permanent disability, retrenchment, or sickness. Its goal is to offer financial relief to HRMLD members and their families.

Member welfare management is a cornerstone of HRMLDPSK’s commitment to supporting the holistic development and well-being of its members.
